Scene Design

Answer the following questions for your scene (2-3 sentences for each answer):

1.) What's the main conflict in your scene?
2.) What actions is your character playing?
3.) What physical choices will you use to convey the emotions and conflict in your scene?
4.)What costumes will you use to reflect your character's personality? How will your constume reflect the theme and mood of your scene? Make choices about color, style, and fabric.
5.) Draw a picture or write a description of your costume.
6.) Where does the scene take place? How will the set reflect the theme and the mood of the scene. Think about furniture, background and props.
7.) Draw a picture or write a description of the set.
8.) How does the lighting help tell the story of the scene? How does the light reflect the theme and the mood of the scene? Think about these lighting choices--color and brightness.
9.) Draw a picture or write a description of your lighting design.
10.) How will music and sound help to tell the story of the scene? How will the music and sound reflect the theme and the mood of the scene? Think about choices in music, sound effects and volume.
11.) Write a description of your sound design.
12.) Editing: Some scenes will require editing. Your scenes should be presented in 5-10 minutes. They should not exceed 10 minutes. For that reason, you might have to edit some lines. Which lines MUST be included? What can be excluded? Keep the iambic pentameter in place. An edited version of your scene should be turned in on the date assigned.
